Lupine makes very high quality collars and leashes. Our dog has had hers for about 5 years now and it looks like new. About 3 years ago our dog got skunked wearing it. Unfortunately NOTHING would take the smell out of it, not even the recipe lupine's customer service recommended. (This was considered "normal wear and tear" so their 100% guarantee did not apply for replacement.) The smell has faded over the years but it still smells anytime our dog gets wet. I have to say, I was impressed that even after I assalted it with numerous nasty chemicals in my efforts to get rid of the smell, it never faded, bled, or tarnished. This collar and leash could in fact last for your pets entire lifetime - so choose your colors well!
