The Supreme® Bio-Matrix™ cartridge provides triple filtration for aquarium water. The dense white polyester filter media gives effective mechanical filtration while the activated carbon-impregnated polyester filter adds chemical filtration. Finally, the entire filter cartridge provides maximum surface area for the propagation of "friendly" bacteria which act as an efficient biological filter.
